Education Programmes
Empowering Communities: Care and Assistance for Deprived and Vulnerable Children. The Project targets marginalized children in communities, who have slipped through the net of government and social protection, by providing basic needs and education.
There are currently over 13 million people in Ghana living in rural communities. Although the Ghanaian government is working diligently to make education free and easily accessible to all Ghanaians, there are millions of rural children and youth who are not able to access free basic and secondary education due to poverty. This project will impact more than 200 rural children and youth in the District of the Eastern Region of Ghana.
By identifying those in serious need, our association aims to ensure that educational and individual care is provided. The project will work to expand the capabilities of vulnerable children and their families, whilst also empowering communities to strengthen and monitor long-term progress.
Additionally Our Association has identified one of the most effective ways to provide support for children through empowering their mothers and guardians. Working in conjunction with the Livelihood team, We strives to lift women out of poverty through targeted supporting of small business entrepreneurship. Go to the LIVELIHOOD project page to read more about how empowering women will ensure their children to get the education they deserve for a brighter future.
